Welcome to the In re PayPal Litigation Settlement Website You have reached the website of the Claims Administrator for the Class Action Settlement in the In re PayPal Litigation, Case No. 02 1227 JF PVT, pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose. On July 12, 2004 the Court preliminarily approved the proposed Settlement and directed that class members be given notice of the Settlement. In accordance with the Notice and the Court's orders, the claims period for the In re PayPal Litigation Settlement ended on October 23, 2004 at midnight. At this time, the claims period IS CLOSED. The judgment in this Settlement is not yet final and the Claims Administrator is evaluating all valid claims submitted in accordance with the Plan of Allocation as approved by the Court. Therefore, settlement payments have not yet gone out. Class Counsel anticipate that it will take at least two months from final court approval of the settlement before the distribution of the statutory settlement fund or short-form claim fund. Class Counsel anticipate that it will take at least six months from final court approval before distribution of the long-form claim fund. Final approval requires the resolution of any appeals. At this time, distribution of the settlement funds will be delayed because four class members appealed the District Court's Final Approval Order of the settlement and award of attorneys' fees. This email is a SCAM that is commonly referred to as a "phishing scam" sent with the sole purpose of obtaining your confidential financial and identifying information. NONE of the parties involved in the PayPal Litigation (the Claims Administrator - The Garden City Group, Inc., the Plaintiffs, the defendant PayPal, Inc.) sent this scam email or would EVER request personal financial information from you. If you receive this email, DO NOT give the sender your bank account information or any other personal financial information and please notify PayPal immediately at spoof

Correct Defective Claim

If you recently received an e-mail from the Court-ordered Claims and Settlement Administrator in the In Re PayPal Class Action Litigation, your claim was filed online, but we did not receive your signed certification form by the November 1st deadline. Under the terms of the Court-approved Plan of Allocation, all complete and valid claims must be accompanied by a signed certification form and Long Form claims must be accompanied by appropriate documentation as well.

To access your certification form you will need to provide your claim number and control number which can be found on the bottom of the e-mail you have been provided.

If you still want to participate in the settlement and wish to cure your defective claim, print the certification form, sign it, and mail it to Claim so that it is postmarked by Thursday, January 27, 2005. If you do not submit your signed certification page, with appropriate documentation if applicable, to us so that it is postmarked by Thursday, January 27, 2005, your claim will be considered incomplete and, therefore, invalid.
